Farm Skills 101: Ancestral Herbalism

When: 11:00am-3:00pm on Sunday June 29, 2025

Being in relationship with plants (and fungi) is a wonderful way to stay as well as possible during these uncertain times. In this workshop, we will delve into not only the uses of medicinal plants, but how being in relationship to these wise and beneficent beings can bring benefit on many levels. We will learn several types of herbal preparations including infusion, decoction, and tincture. June is a wonderful and abundant time for wildcrafting, and we will learn how to harvest with respect and reverence. We will end our time together with a tea meditation, where we will learn how to engage the felt sense to learn directly from a plant spirit.

Who: This workshop is open to 10 folks that are either Liberation Ecosystem members or NOFA BIPoC Farm Beginnings members. Stipends are available for the 10 attendees who register.

We will discuss the potential for healing and connection offered by psilocybin, as well as the issue of legality.
